Women Of Wind Energy Joins Up With GLREA

EAST LANSING -- Women of Wind Energy Michigan announced Tuesday that it has opted to become an affiliate organization of the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association.

Officials with WOWE Michigan said the organization will maintain its identity with its own steering committee and activities, but will rely on GLREA for staff support. 

WOWE Michigan is encouraging all its members to join GLREA. They can join now with a 50 percent discount on the $50 individual membership.

You are invited to the GLREA annual meeting on Saturday, Dec. 1 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti. You can RSVP to johnsarver3@gmail.com and bring a $20 check to the meeting or register on line at www.glrea.org.  Please do this by tomorrow Nov 28 since they need a count for lunch. Corner Brewery is at 720 Norris St.

At the meeting, Michael Finney, president and CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corp., will speak on the energy plans and priorities of MEDC. Also, Corner Brewery will be showing off its new dual electric-hot water solar system made by Power Panel.
