Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work
DETROIT (WWJ) - The end of construction season might be right around the corner, but it's not quite over yet.
The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.
I-275:
In Wayne County, one lane will be closed on northbound I-275 at Michigan Avenue from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday for wrap-up work.
I-75:
In Wayne County, the left lane of northbound I-75 will be closed at 8 Mile from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday for sign work.
I-94:
In Detroit, eastbound and westbound I-94 will have single lane closures between Junction Avenue and I-96 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. beginning Thursday night and ending Saturday morning.
In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 from French Road to 8 Mile Road will have a single right lane closure from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 5.
In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 will have one lane closed at Gratiot Avenue from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
In Wayne County, westbound I-94 from 8 Mile Road to Cadieux Road will have a single right lane closure from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. beginning Friday and ending on Wednesday, Dec. 5.
M-10:
In Detroit, the southbound M-10 ramp to Larned will be closed from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday for Cobo Center renovation work. The two right lanes of northbound M-10 under Cobo also will be closed at the same time.
In Detroit, southbound M-10 will have one lane closed at Euclid Street from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Saturday for sign upgrading work.
M-1 (Woodward Avenue):
In Detroit, both directions of M-1 will be closed between Palmer Avenue and Farnsworth Avenue from 1 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday for a holiday event.
M-102 (8 Mile Road):
In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound 8 Mile Road (just west of Telegraph Road) will have a left-lane closure from 7 a.m. Friday until 3 p.m. Tuesday for utility work.
M-150 (Rochester Road):
In Oakland County, both directions of M-150 will be closed between 2nd Street and Tienken Road from 1 p.m. unitl 5 p.m. Sunday for a holiday parade.
M-24:
In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-24 between Broadway Street and First Street in Oxford, will be closed Saturday from 1 p.m. unitl 3 p.m. for a holiday parade.
Beginning the week of Monday, Dec. 3:
I-696:
In Oakland County, eastbound I-696 will have one lane closed at Farmington Road from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. beginning Monday and ending on Friday.
I-75:
In Oakland County, the right lane of southbound I-75 will be closed just south of 13 Mile Road from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. beginning Monday and ending Friday.
In Oakland County, northbound and southbound I-75 will have intermittent single lane closures between Baldwin Road and M-15 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. beginning Monday and ending late December.
In Wayne County, the left lane of southbound I-75 will be closed between 8 Mile Road and Davison Avenue from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. beginning Monday and ending on Friday.
