2 Killed In Jackson County Crash

HENRIETTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a teenage driver and a young man are dead following a one-vehicle crash in southern Michigan.

The crash happened Saturday night in Jackson County's Henrietta Township, about 60 miles west of Detroit.

MLive.com reports a pickup truck driven by 16-year-old Jacob Tyler Schambers failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and overturned. The sheriff's department says he died along with 21-year-old Adam Michael Robinson. The department earlier said both were from Jackson County.

The department says the speeding truck hit a utility pole, cutting power to the area. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
