Is this the best crank call you’ve heard recently?

We know Detroiters have a sense of humor. We also know that many of them are following the royal baby news from across the pond — in case you haven’t heard… Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is pregnant.

Well, the Duchess has been closely guarded after she was admitted to the hospital, reportedly suffering from extreme morning sickness.

While some Detroiters have been waiting to hear the latest updates on dear Kate, a couple of radio hosts in Australia decided to take things into their own hands and called the hospital. They mimicked the Queen’s voice and asked the Duchess’ private nurse how their sweet, sweet granddaughter is doing.

The shocking thing is that hospital staff actually bought it! Not only that, but they released private information.

The morning staff in the WWJ Newsroom thought this was one of the funniest things they’ve heard recently.

Listen and judge for yourself…
