They’re gone in a flash, one minute here, whisked away the next, leaving behind a maddening series of questions and speculation — and heartbreak. WWJ 950 is shining a light on long-missing people reported to the Detroit Police Department in the hope it will spark someone to remember something they saw and never reported. These are our missing, gone but not forgotten.

DETROIT (WWJ) Rita Thomas, 53,  was last seen Oct. 12, 2012, at about 2:30 p.m. in the 48000 block of Nevada.  She was last  seen wearing black stretch pants, a black leotard type blouse, brown fringed waist  length leather jacket, and gold flat slide on shoes.

She has good physical condition but poor mental condition.

Thomas is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall, 175 lbs., with brown eyes , salt and pepper hair and light complexion.
