JEMS Technology to Provide Mobile Medical System in China

ORION TOWNSHIP-- JEMS Technology LLC recently began supplying its JEMS mobile medical systems to the Chinese healthcare market. Initial orders have been placed for use of the JEMS systems in endoscopic procedures.

The JEMS server is being integrated into systems that will enable GI physicians to consult on endoscopic procedures from afar. Market research indicates that this capability will be of significant clinical value in China, a country in which there is a limited number of GI physicians and very large geography.

The JEMS mobile medical system provides a secure, mobile, reliable, and affordable solution for healthcare providers who rely on their smartphones to stay connected to their colleagues and patients in China.

JEMS is working through an established distribution team in China that will enable it to target hospitals and healthcare providers throughout the country, in both urban and rural areas. Because JEMS is a wireless system that is compatible with both cellular and WiFi networks, the system can be placed anywhere there is adequate communications infrastructure.

The company estimates the value of this business opportunity will be in excess of $50 million, due to the significant number of health care facilities in China, the number of people that are medically underserved, and market trends that point to the need for mobile medicine solutions.

Ron Perry, director of international business for JEMS, explained, "JEMS could not be more enthusiastic to enter this market. The Chinese healthcare market presents a tremendous opportunity; there is great demand for mobile medical solutions in China and the JEMS system is well-suited to serve the needs of healthcare providers in a number of clinical disciplines."

JEMS Technology specializes in secure, encrypted real-time video to hand held devices, including the iPhone, iPad, Android-based phones and Android-based tablets. JEMS Technology is focused on the healthcare market, where remote access to secure live video can assist healthcare providers to deliver better care.
