MONROE (WWJ) - A 6-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after she was clipped by a car in Monroe Thursday morning.

It happened at around 8 a.m. as the girl was getting on a school bus on W. Third St. between Adams and Union.

Monroe police said the child was hit in the shoulder area with the mirror of a car after the vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old woman, traveled past the bus that had its lights flashing.
