Terry Foster With Waza Flo Coach Matt Johnson

By: Terry Foster

Waza Flo leads the Eastern Division of the Professional Arena Soccer League but its next three games could decide the team's fate. Flo goes on the road to face the Harrisburg Heat on Saturday and then is off until after the holiday when it faces off against the Ohio Vortex Jan. 4 in Ohio.

Flo's next home game is Jan. 6 against the Cincinnati Kings, a team that could decide the division title. Coach Matt Johnson joined 97.1 FM the Ticket to talk about the games and life on the road.

"Road games might be even more difficult in lower division professional leagues," Johnson said.

It is more difficult because teams drive up to six hours for games and they are not staying at high end hotels. It is rough on the road because there are few luxuries.
Waza is 5-1 in league play but Cincinnati is breathing down its neck and wants at least a share of the division.

Waza plans on staying on top.

"We have a very talented team," Johnson said.
