Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - The end of construction season might be right around the corner, but it's not quite over yet.

The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-375:

In Detroit, southbound I-375 exit ramp to Madison Avenue will be closed Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. for guardrail installation.

I-94:

In Macomb County, westbound I-94 will have the right lane closed between 8 Mile and 12 Mile Roads from Friday 10 p.m. until Saturday 10 a.m. for sign work.

In Macomb County, eastbound I-94 will have the left lane closed from Harper to Crocker roads from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday for the installation of median barrier reflectors.

In Detroit, westbound I-94 will have one lane closed from Outer Drive to French Road from 9 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday for sign work.

I-96:

In Wayne County, eastbound I-96 will have the right lane closed at Merriman Road Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for maintenance work. In addition the eastbound I-96 exit to Merriman Road will be closed during the same time frame.

M-1 (Woodward Avenue):

In Oakland County, southbound M-1 will have two lanes closed and northbound M-1 will have one lane closed at Maple Road from Sunday 3 a.m. until Monday 5 a.m. for watermain repair work. In addition, eastbound Maple Road at M-1 will be closed during the same time frame.

M-8 (W Davison Street):

In Wayne County, westbound M-8 ramp to eastbound I-96 will open Friday 3 p.m.

Beginning the week of Monday, Dec. 17:

I-696:

In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound I-696 will have one lane open at Manistee Road nightly from Monday 10 p.m. until Friday 5 a.m. for message sign work.

In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound I-696 will have one lane open at Evergreen Road nightly from Monday 10 p.m. until Friday 5 a.m. for message sign work.

I-75:

In Oakland County, southbound I-75 will have one lane closed just south of Davison Freeway (M-8) on Monday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. for sign upgrading.

In Detroit, northbound I-75 will have the left lane closed at Caniff Road daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday until Friday for sign upgrading.

I-94:

In Macomb County, eastbound I-94 will have left lane closed from Harper to Crocker Roads from Monday 9 .p.m until Tuesday 5 p.m. for the installation of median barrier reflectors.

M-59:

In Oakland County, eastbound M-59/Huron Street will be closed from Saginaw Street to Mill Street on Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for movie filming. Detour will be posted.
