December is the month of holiday cheer and festive, fashion. Therefore, even with the everyday hustle and bustle, it’s important to look professional yet stylish in the office. The holiday season is a great time to incorporate colorful, pieces and fun accessories to your daily, office look.
Comfy Colorful Sweaters
Colorful, cotton or cashmere sweaters are perfect for the holidays. They’re comfortable for when you’re mingling and eating at the office party. Sweaters are not only warm and cozy but they look professional and classy with a pair of slacks or a knee-length, skirt.
A bright, colored blouse or collared shirt is another easy way to create a fresh look for the holidays. The pop of color from the blouse and shirt looks elegant under a blazer. Different fabrics and subtle, embellishments also add more style to a standard business shirt.
For example, instead of choosing a basic collared shirt, try picking a powder blue or red shirt with white cuffs. To achieve a softer, elegant look, choose a vibrant, colored blouse made of chiffon with pleats. The idea is to implement a mixture of fabrics, colors, and styles to dress up your collection of work shirts.
Colors and fabrics are important to creating an appealing holiday fashion look. However, no outfit is complete without accessories. Holiday jewelry should make a statement and be unique.
A multicolored, beaded drop–necklace and a teardrop choker are some examples of jewelry that’s beautiful and special for the holiday. It’s always good to pick sets of jewelry with a matching necklace and bracelet or earrings.
You can also opt to keep it more simple with one eye-catching piece of jewelry. The key to accessorizing with jewelry is to pick items that stand out and can be paired with numerous outfits in your closet.
The most important accessory to consider is shoes. Flats look just as fancy as a pair of heels but don’t put as much stress on your feet. Sparkle and leather flats are fashionable, trendy, and functional for the office.
BCBG, Tahari, and Marc Fisher are among the many designers that make a range of colors and styles in flats for any day of the week.
Keep these helpful suggestions in mind and you’re sure to look stylish and comfortable in the office during this holiday season!
