SWAT Team In Ann Arbor Neighborhood As Man Barricades Himself In Home
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - UPDATE 7:50 p.m. : Police are not giving details but say the situation "has been resolved".
A SWAT team was on the scene of a home on Burbank near Bolgos in Ann Arbor where police say a man barricaded himself inside of the home.
The incident began after 7 a.m. Sunday; Heron Rashes lives on Burbank and received a call from police to stay inside his home. Officials say the man inside the home has mental health issues, and they've been trying to convince him to come out.
"I'm looking out the window - there are SWAT trucks - it looks like Army trucks - police have the road closed off," said Rashes.
Rashes told WWJ that he's not afraid ... he said that his home is far enough away from the home where police are trying to make contact with the man inside.
At this point it is not known if there are other people inside the home. Police said the man is barricaded in the house by himself. He tells them he's armed, but they haven't seen a weapon or heard any shots.
