Man Charged After 3-Year-Old Shoots Self With Gun Found In Home

DETROIT (WWJ) - A 24-year-old Detroit man is expected to be arraigned Saturday on charges of child abuse, possession of a firearm and felony firearm.

Earlier this week, Marcus Jareno Allen was visiting a female friend at her home on Forrer street in Detroit.

Allen allegedly had a handgun that was found by the woman's 3-year-old son.

The child shot himself and was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment for a wound to the foot.

Arraignment is set for Saturday afternoon.
