DEARBORN HEIGHTS (WWJ) – A teen involved in a car crash that claimed the life of his cousin and friend is clinging for life in an area hospital.

The accident happened Friday at Telegraph and Ford Roads, when the car the three were riding in was hit by a pick up truck fleeing the scene of another crash.

Dearborn Heights Police Sergeant Al Nason spoke with WWJ Newsradio 950 about the accident:

“The black Ford Ranger pick-up was leaving the scene of a, another accident he was involved in on Ford Road near Evergreen,” Nason said. “According to witnesses, (the Ranger) blew the red light at Ford & Telegraph at a high rate of speed, striking the Honda in the passenger door, causing them both to flip over.”
