Happy Hookers In Detroit To Shed Light On Homelessness

DETROIT (WWJ) – The Happy Hookers are trying to set a Guinness world record … for the world’s longest crocheted scarf.

The volunteer crochet group has created scarves to donate to Detroit Central City Community Mental Health consumers.

They draped the scarf around a statue at One Woodward Avenue to raise awareness for the need for warm clothing donations to homeless Detroiters this winter.

Donations of hats, scarves, & gloves are being accepted at The Fountain Bistro in downtown Detroit Saturday.
