DETROIT (WWJ) – It’s been nice while it lasted, but it looks like gas prices are on their way back up.
Prices at the pump have gone down, or at least remained stable, over the past six to eight weeks, but things are about to change. That’s according to Patrick DeHaan, a senior energy analyst at GasBuddy.com, who says he expects an upward trend over the rest of the winter. Dehaan says he sees prices pushing $4.00 a gallon by early April; about the same as last year at the same time.
This comes at a time when when demand is falling…but oil prices are beginning to creep up and refining capacity continues to be a problem.
Currently, AAA Michigan says gas prices in Michigan and in the metro Detroit area are averaging just over $3.24 a gallon.
