Grenades Found Among Charitable Donations

SHELBY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) – The Salvation Army in Shelby Township was evacuated for some time Monday after a store employee found three grenades that had been dropped off in a donation box.

Police say several stores in the area were also evacuated as a precaution.

Officials say if anyone finds a grenade to immediately call police to handle the munition.

Police say no one should transport the potentially explosive device.
