DETROIT (WWJ) - A young man is now in police custody after he allegedly kidnapped and assaulted two women over the weekend.
According to police, the victims were in a parked vehicle near Meyers and Puritan last Saturday evening when the suspect, 19-year-old Javontae Fizer, approached. Police said that’s when Fizer pulled out a gun and told them to drive to a remote location.
Fizer then allegedly sexually assaulted both women before fleeing the scene.
The two women, both 22 years old, were taken to a local hospital where they were listed in stable condition on Wednesday.
Bond was set at $1 million cash for Fizer who faces with kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct, armed robbery, assault and weapons charges.
He’s due back in court on Jan. 15.
