Detroit Teen Collapses, Dies Outside High School

DETROIT (WWJ) – A 17-year-old student collapsed and died after walking to his high school on Detroit’s east side.

Police talking to WWJ Newsradio 950 said the teen apparently had some type of medical condition and passed out at the front door of Martin Luther King High School Tuesday morning

He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

No trauma or foul play is suspected. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

The student’s name was not released.
