Daimler Trucks North America Warns Of Massive Layoffs

(AP) – Daimler Trucks North America is warning thousands of workers that potentially large layoffs could be coming at manufacturing plants.
CBS News Correspondent Jim Krasula reports that the affected plants potentially include plants in North Carolina, South Carolina, Oregon and Mexico.
The company is notifying production workers about the layoffs two months in advance and complies with federal law.
More information is expected later in the week.
The Portland, Oregan based company employs 20,000 workers building freight liner in Western Star trucks and Thomas built school buses.
