Prince Fielder's $10K Shoes In Premier Of 'Burn Rubber' Show

Detroit Rubber S1 Ep. 1 of 6 - Eminem Gives Prince Fielder $10k Air Jordans by WatchLOUD on YouTube

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Prince Fielder and his $10,000 sneakers drive the story line in the first episode of "Burn Rubber," a You Tube show produced by Eminem and featuring the iconic Royal Oak sneaker store of the same name.

The first episode centers on the Tigers superstar and his hunt for the perfect pair of sneakers for the World Series.

Fielder is asking for the impossible dream: a pair of Encore 4s -- of which only 24 to 50 were ever made. And he wants them fast -- in a size 13.

The dynamic duo who own Burn Rubber, Rick Williams and Roland "Ro" Coit, put out a call to the owner of Eminem's record label to try to procure the phantom kicks.

They end up all the way at the recording home of the big man himself: Slim Shady.

And he and Fielder start the negotiation.

This is the launch of the planned six episode series of 10-minute webisodes that promise to let viewers "Watch the drama unfold as the guys hustle to keep the ship afloat, managing a crazy cast of characters while maintaining their clout in Detroit hip hop culture."

"We like to say it's more like going to a barber shop than a sneaker store," RO says in the premier episode.
