Ex-Cop Takes Deal In Sexual Misconduct Case

ROCKWOOD, Mich. (AP) - A former police officer in Wayne County has pleaded guilty to willful failure to uphold the law after he was accused of having inappropriate contact with a female prisoner.

The prosecutor's office says 33-year-old Christian Zieminski entered the plea Friday to misdemeanors. He had been charged with criminal sexual conduct and misconduct in office.

Zieminski was accused of forcing the woman into sexual conduct when he was a member of the Rockwood Police Department, southwest of Detroit.

He'll be sentenced on March 5 in Wayne County court. Zieminski is forfeiting any grievance or challenge to his firing from the police department.
