Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again, which means it's time for some road work and intermittent lane closures.

The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-94:

In Wayne County, the following ramps will be closed on Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.:

• Eastbound I-94 ramp to Moross
• Cadieux ramp to eastbound I-94
• Westbound I-94 ramp to Conner

In Wayne County, the eastbound I-94 ramp to northbound I-75 will have a left-lane closure on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. for maintenance.

I-94/M-10 Interchange:

In Wayne County, the eastbound I-94 ramp to northbound M-10 will be closed on Sunday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. for maintenance. Northbound M-10 from I-94 to West Grand Boulevard will have only one lane open during the same time.

I-75:

In Wayne County, northbound I-75 at Caniff will have a left-lane closure on Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

In Wayne County, northbound I-75 ramp to Livernois will be closed Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for lighting work. The Livernois ramp to southbound I-75 will be closed during the same time.

I-696:

In Oakland County, both directions of I-696 between Meadowbrook Road and Corporate Drive will have left-lane closures on Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. for maintenance.

US-24 (Dixie Highway):

In Oakland County, both directions of US-24 at Farner Avenue will have single-lane closures from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday for permit work.

In Oakland County, northbound and southbound US-24 between Telegraph Road and Frembes Road will have ongoing single-lane closures nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. through the end of February.

M-59:

In Oakland County, eastbound M-59 just east of Bogie Lake Road will have a single-lane closure on Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. for median wall repairs.

Beginning the week of Monday, Feb. 11:

I-75:

In Wayne County, northbound I-75 at Caniff will have a single left-lane closure on Monday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-94/West Grand Boulevard:

In Wayne County, the West Grand Boulevard Bridge over I-94 will be closed beginning Monday at 7 a.m. through November for bridge reconstruction. Alternate routes include McGraw, Scotten, and the Warren overpasses.
