Woman's Body Found Under Deck Of Home

IOSCO TWP. (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say the body of a 24-year-old woman who was visiting her mother in Michigan to care for her has been found under the deck of a home.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department says the body of Kalin Rose Woods, of Pittsburgh, Penn., was found Thursday after the woman's mother, who is hospitalized in Ann Arbor, reported not seeing her for a few days.

Police say the woman's body was found in a "difficult position" under a deck in the backyard of a home, in an area that was difficult to see and reach. The home is located in Iosco Township, about 45 miles northwest of Detroit.

Sheriff Bob Bezotte told WHMI-FM that there were no immediate or obvious signs of injury. He also said the woman was not dressed for winter weather and had no coat on.

The cause of death is under investigation.
