DETROIT (WWJ) – President Barack Obama says the United States is finally in a position to control our own energy future producing more natural gas at home.

“We produce more oil at home than we have in 15 years, we have doubled the distance our cars will go on a gallon of gas, and the amount of renewable energy we will generate from wind and solar with tens of thousands of good American jobs to show for it,” said President Obama.

President Barack Obama said creating jobs in the next four years will be at the top of his wish list:

“Caterpillar is bringing jobs back from Japan, Ford is bringing jobs back from Mexico and this year Apple will start making MAC’s in American again,” he said.

The President said manufacturers have added 500,000  jobs, just in the last three years.
