Police Searching For Murdered Man's Missing Car

HARPER WOODS (WWJ) - Harper Woods police are looking for at least one suspect in the overnight murder of a 60-year-old man.

Police Chief Jim Burke said Johnny Lee Buckner was found dead in his home on Old Homestead road by a cousin.

"Right now we're just looking at home invasion and robbery as the motive," Burke told WWJ Newsradio 950. "The only thing we know missing right now is his car, so, that's our primary focus right now. We're trying to see if we can track down his vehicle and see if we can locate that and go from there."

Bukner's car is a cream-colored 2001 Cadillac Deville, it's a four door with a dark tan roof and license plate number 8JWA60.

Anyone with information should call Harper Wood police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
