2 Hurt In Royal Oak House Fire

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) – Two people are hospitalized, injured in a house fire early Friday in Royal Oak.

Royal Oak Fire Chief Chuck Thomas said they got a call about the fire at a home on Center Street shortly before 4 a.m.  The fire was already out by the time crews arrived.

Police said a man and a woman in her 80s suffered burns, but the extent of their injuries was unknown as of late morning.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
