Nordic Energy To Expand Into Gas Service In Michigan

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — Nordic Energy Services LLC announced last week that it has been approved by the Public Utility Commission to become an alternative electric supplier to the approximate 1.6 million customers in Exelon’s PECO territory in the state of Pennsylvania.

The company also said it plans to offer alternative gas utility services in Michigan by mid-May, along with New Jersey and Maryland. Extending its way into the Northeast, Nordic will also offer gas and electric services to customers in Ohio by mid-September.

Nordic currently supplies natural gas and electricity with related services to commercial customers behind six utilities in Illinois and Indiana and also provides electricity to residential customers throughout Illinois.

Nordic Energy Services, LLC ( ) is an independently owned, Chicago-based, Alternative Retail Electric Supplier (ARES) and Alternative Gas Supplier (AGS). Working toward its mission of being a fully integrated energy provider, Nordic also produces oil and natural gas commodities.
