Mom Fears The Worst For Daughter Missing More Than A Week

WESTLAND (WWJ) - A local mother says she's desperate for answers-- as her daughter has now been missing for more than a week.

Forty-three-year-old Christina Balog left her Westland home on February 11 to go for a walk. Her mother, Kathleen Wilson, says Balog has mental health issues and left with no phone, money or medication.

"I want her home, I want to know she is safe," said Christina's mother. "I just need somebody to let me know that she ... that they found her somewhere."

Wilson has plastered flyers with Baylog's image all over her neighborhood at Warren and Middlebelt, in hopes someone will come forward with information.

"Right now at this point I need an answer ... if she is dead or alive I need to know. They tell you to have positive thoughts but after this long it's hard to have positive thoughts," she said.

Balog is 5'3 with short brown hair and eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call Westland police.
