Lions' Nate Burleson Thinks Jahvid Best Should 'Shut It Down'

Detroit running back Jahvid Best hasn't been on the field for the Lions since suffering his third career concussion in October 2011. Best has made it clear that he wants to play again, but some people don't think that's a good idea, including Lions teammate Nate Burleson.

"I just told him that if it was me, I would shut it down," Burleson said on NFL Total Access. "You've got so much more life to live and even though I would love to have you on the field, I don't want it to risk anything with your brain or possibly your post career."

Head injuries have limited Best to 22 games since being taken 30th overall by Detroit in the 2010 NFL Draft. Burleson said he has talked to Best about a possible return to football.
