Registration Open For Small Business Awards

LANSING -- Small business owners and supporters are coming from across the state to show support for Michigan's growing companies at the ninth annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business awards dinner on May 2.

More than 60 businesses will be honored, including the "2013 Michigan 50 Companies to Watch." Gov. Rick Snyder will offer remarks during the ceremony at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing.

"Michigan's economy is built on a strong foundation of innovation and hard-working people," said David Morrison, southeast market manager for PNC. "Michigan Celebrates Small Business seeks to acknowledge the best and brightest of small business leadership in Michigan. As a premier lender to Michigan Small Businesses, PNC recognizes the importance of small businesses and is committed to their success."

Said Jennifer Deamud, managing partner of Michigan Celebrates Small Business: "Michigan Celebrates Small Business remains on the forefront of championing small business and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit in Michigan. The mission of MCSB is to honor and recognize Michigan's small business people and those who support them."
