Total Loss Likely As Blaze Engulfs Birmingham Home

BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) - A Birmingham home is likely a total loss following a fire Tuesday evening.

A neighbor told WWJ he saw flames going through the roof of the home as firefighters worked to get the blaze under control.

The fire occurred at a house on Pilgrim near the intersection of Quarton Road and Woodward.

The neighbor says an ambulance did arrive on the scene, but so far there's no word from the fire department that anyone was hurt or home at the time.
