Authorities Seek Tips In 'Stranger Danger' Case

INDEPENDENCE TWP. (WWJ) - The Oakland County Sheriff's office is looking into two incidents involving a man and a 9-year-old girl.

Police said in both incidents, which took place about a month apart, the young girl was at a bus stop in Independence Township when a man sat in his car and stared at her.

Officials said he drove away the first time, but got out of his car and started approaching her in the second instance, Wednesday morning. Police said the bus came before the man was able to say or do anything.

The suspect is described as being 50-60 years old. He earing a Detroit Tigers baseball hat. He was driving an older model light blue two-door pickup truck that was dented and rusty.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
