Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work
DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again, which means time for road work and intermittent lane closures — and luckily, there aren't many.
The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.
I-94:
In Detroit, the westbound I-94 exits to Outer Drive and Chalmers Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Friday for ongoing lighting and sign work.
I-75:
In Wayne County, the right lane of northbound I-75 will be closed at Davison Avenue 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday for utility work.
In Wayne County, the right lane of northbound I-75 will be closed at Seven Mile Road from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday for environmental cleanup from earlier crash.
I-696:
In Oakland County, the left lane of westbound I-696 will be closed near Southfield Road 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday for utility work.
Beginning the week of Monday, Feb. 25:
I-75:
In Oakland County, permit work will require intermittent right lane closures on both directions of I-75 between Dixie Highway and Ray Road daily 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. beginning Monday and ending late March.
M-10 (Lodge Freeway):
In Detroit, the left lane of southbound M-10 will be closed at M. L. King Jr. Boulevard from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday.
I-94:
In Detroit/Wayne County, both the Cadieux Road and Connor Avenue entrance ramps to westbound I-94 will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday for ongoing construction.
