Caputo: Three Players Who Helped Themselves The Most At The NFL Combine
By: Pat Caputo
1. Barkevious Mingo, defensive end, LSU - A hybrid linebacker/end with great strength and lightning quickness, Mingo would be the ideal pick for the Lions at fifth overall in the first round. He ran a sub 4.6 in the 40-yard dash and impressed in all drills.
2. Tavon Austin, wide receiver, West Viginia - This kid didn't only run a 4.3 40, he was an incredibly productive college player, who can also run the ball out of the backfield, in addition to his ability as a wide receiver. He has similar skills as Jahvid Best, but without the injury history.
3. Dion Jordan, defensive end, Oregon - He was very impressive athletically and likely will be taken in the Top 5 overall.
