Braves' Hudson, Tigers' Porcello Allow Long Homers

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Tim Hudson allowed a long home run to Prince Fielder, but Juan Francisco's three-run shot off Rick Porcello helped the Atlanta Braves to a 5-3 victory Wednesday.

Hudson pitched three innings and yielded two runs and two hits. He said afterward he feels he is on target to meeting his opening-day goals.

Porcello, competing for one of the final spots in the Tigers' rotation, allowed three hits in two innings.

Joey Terdoslavich doubled in a run in the sixth inning for the Braves and raised his spring batting average to .429. Jordan Schafer, Chris Johnson, Terdoslavich, and Francisco each had two hits for the Braves.

Reigning AL MVP Miguel Cabrera had a single.
