Authorities ID Suspect In Ann Arbor Sex Assaults

ANN ARBOR (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say they've identified a suspect in the sexual assaults of three University of Michigan students at an off-campus apartment.

University of Michigan Police say students reported being assaulted at the Ann Arbor apartment in February and September by a 31-year-old man after being given alcohol.

In two instances, the students reported that they had passed out at an apartment on East University and when they awoke, they were being sexually assaulted. A third student reported she had been inappropriately grabbed by the suspect.

Police say the suspect also is a student, although his name wasn't immediately released.

The suspect has been described as an Asian male, 31-years-old but looks younger, 5'6"-5'7" and 140 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact U-M police at 734-763-1131 or Ann Arbor police at 734-794-6939.
