Motown Musicians Seek Help To Get To Hollywood

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) – The Funk Brothers, known for their background vocals and instruments on many Motown chart-toppers, are getting a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame — but they need help from fans to get there.

The ceremony will take place in a few weeks, but the half-dozen musicians from Detroit hoping to attend don’t have enough money for the trip.

If you’d like to help pay for airfare and hotel stays for these Grammy Award-winning gentlemen, donations can be made by mailing a check or money order to the following:

25702 Holiday Circle, #B
Stevenson Ranch, CA 91381

The “Funk Brothers Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony” will take place March 21, 11:30 a.m. at 7065 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA, 90028.
