Fans Anxious To Own A Copy Of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’

Erik Odom, Guri Weinberg Of Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 DVD Tour Stops In Detroit

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. (WWJ) – The final installment of the phenomenon known as the “Twilight Saga” will be on store shelves and available for digital download on Saturday, March 2nd.

Two of the stars of “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” stopped in Detroit during their recent tour to promote the film’s release.

So far, author Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series has sold over 116 million books, and raked in $3.3 BILLION at the box office. Those numbers are surely about to grow with the release of “Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” Erik Odom, who plays Peter, says being a part of the film was unlike anything else.

“You have these people who are so enthusiastic about it that they go see the movie over and over again, and they’ll come and camp out at events,” Odom said.

What is it about the “Twilight Saga” that’s made it such a phenomenon? Guri Weinberg, who stars as Stefan, says it’s the irresistible love story.

“People really like a good love story, and especially a love story that has a lot of obstacles,” Weinberg said. “This love story, of course, has so many obstacles. The fans like to cheer true love, no matter what the obstacle is.”

Without a doubt, fans just couldn’t get enough of that on-screen romance between Edward and Bella. But what about their off-screen one.

“It’s a movie within a movie, isn’t it,” Weinberg laughed. But, that’s as far as we could get. “You know, I tend to stay away from commenting on other people’s relationships,” he added. “You know, they’re both wonderful people, and I wish ’em all the best.”

On well, it was worth a shot.

“Breaking Dawn – Part 2” will be released on Blu-ray Disc (plus Digital Copy and Ultraviolet), 2 disc DVD (plus Digital Copy and Ultraviolet), Video On Demand and Digital Download. Both the Blu-ray Disc and 2-disc DVD feature hours of extensive bonus materials, including a seven-part making-of documentary that provides a detailed behind-the-scenes look at how the series’ finale came together. Demand is expected to be huge!
