MMA Seminar: Dangers of Mobile Communications: Join the Michigan Manufacturers Association on Thursday, April 4 for a seminar in Lansing, "Don't Let BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Become LYFO (Liability for Your Organization): A Social Media Update." The seminar will be presented by Miller Canfield attorneys Kathryn Ossian and Mary Kate Griffith. Participants will learn about legal issues involving privacy, security and data retrieval when allowing company information to be accessed and stored on personal devices. The seminar will be held at the MMA headquarters, located at 620 S. Capitol in Lansing, on Thursday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to noon. Wayne State Speech To Focus On Michigan's Economy: A lecture titled "Michigan's economy: What must be done to build growth and prosperity for the future?" will be held Thursday, April 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Wayne State Univeristy's Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer, Detroit. The speaker is John C. Austin of the Michigan Economic Center at Lansing's Prima Civitas Foundation. The free lecture is open to the public.
