Michael Finney appears on “Michigan Matters” this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. on CBS 62 to talk about the state’s improving jobs picture and how the department he runs — Michigan Economic Development Corporation — is taking a proactive role in helping companies and communities retool for the 21st century knowledge economy.

Finney, president and CEO of MEDC, also discusses the global market place and the state’s efforts to grow more business in China.

Also appearing on the show is Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, and Chris Holman, of Michigan Business Network.

Patterson talks about his Emerging Sectors program which has raised over a billion in business and his Medical Main Street effort.

Holman focuses on the impact of small business in Michigan and challenges they are facing.
