Report: MLB And MLBPA Working Toward Worldwide Draft

Major League Baseball has been working to curtail costs associated with acquiring amateur players under the guise of competitive balance for years, hence the spending restrictions implemented by the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Now the league is looking to adjust the market again by implementing a worldwide draft. Eric Fisher of the Sports Business Journal has the news:
