Michigan State Fair Returns For Labor Day Weekend 2013

NOVI (WWJ) - The Michigan State Fair is coming back this year.

Organizers announced earlier this week that the "new" Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair will be held Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30th through Sept. 2 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

In addition to the home arts and livestock exhibits, the Detroit Shrine Circus returns bigger and better for 2013 with the world's largest circus tent, and that's not all. Fairgoers will also enjoy an expanded midway, live entertainment, beer garden, and an abundance of those favorite tasty carnival treats.

Tickets will go on sale in the near future, and information will be available online at www.MichiganStateFairLLC.com.

One third of the admission price goes directly to the Detroit Shrine Circus and indirectly helps their effort to fund their non-profit and philanthropic efforts through the Shiner Hospitals for Children.
