Report: Lions' Spievey Arrested For Fight With Child's Mother
A Connecticut news source is reporting the Detroit Lions' Amari Spievey was arrested after a dispute with a woman turned physical.
The Middletown Press in Connecticut reports Spievey was charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct.
The charges stem from an argument about child support with a 26-year-old woman, Lisamarie Santos, reportedly the mother of Spievey's 2-year-old. Santos said Spievey told the child "not to be like your mother."
Santos told police the Lions' safety grabbed her neck and pushed her.
The woman was also charged with disorderly conduct.
The Lions' front office was not immediately available for comment.
