Medical Professionals Launches Cloud-Based Voice, Texting App

DETROIT -- Medical Professionals Inc. completed the launch of a new cloud-based voice and short messaging service application that enables home health care providers to report their shift start and end times from patients' telephones.

This information is also used to derive billable hours that flow into Microsoft Dynamics GP on the company's local server. The cloud-based system also sends text message alerts to management of late arrivals and departures from patients' homes.

"Some of our most vulnerable clients are not able to let us know when a home care provider does not report to work," says Valentina Lopez, MPI's CEO. "The system lets us know. We can then find out if the home care provider is just a few minutes late or needs to be replaced."

Based in Flint, MPI has provided the services of skilled healthcare professionals and paraprofessionals to homes, healthcare facilities and homecare agencies for over 25 years. MPI is owned and managed by Registered Nurses with years of clinical and management experience. MPI's services are paid for either privately or by auto and/or commercial insurance providers. MPI's wide array of clientele has made the agency adept in dealing with the intricacies of Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross and other insurers.
