Residents Working To Build Amphitheater In Milford

MILFORD (WWJ/AP) - Milford residents are working to build a $500,000 outdoor amphitheater downtown.

The AMP in Central Park project will be funded primarily through private donations and grants.

Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce executive director Joell Beether calls it a "true community project, from the concept to the fundraising effort to the design of AMP in Central Park itself."

The three-phase project is expected to take about 18 months. The amphitheater and stage will be completed first, followed by the construction of permanent restroom facilities in the park.
