Body Found In Ditch Identified As Wayne County Man

HURON TOWNSHIP (WWJ/AP) - The body of a man found last week in a roadside ditch in Wayne County's Huron Township has been identified.

Michigan State Police say Monday that investigators are awaiting autopsy results on 26-year-old Jesse Carr, who lived in the Brownstown area, about 20 miles southwest of Detroit.

Carr's body was spotted in the ditch, along Will Carleton Road near Romine Road, by a truck driver who called police.

He last was seen March 22 while riding in a 2002 silver Ford Explorer. Police say the sport utility vehicle's driver is cooperating with investigators. Police are awaiting toxicology results from an autopsy performed Friday.

Meantime, Michigan State Police are becoming more concerned that an area along the Wayne-Monroe county border has become a dumping ground for dead bodies -- as a woman was found dead in a ditch just two miles away just one day before. (More on this here).
