DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting near the Detroit-Highland Park border.

The incident happened around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday at the corner of Woodward and Webb, near the Davison Freeway.

Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens said two men, ages 33 and 21, were sitting in a parked vehicle when suspects in a white sedan drove past them and started shooting. The suspects then fled the scene.

Stephens said the 33-year-old received gunshot wounds and was rushed to the hospital where he was last listed in serious condition. She said the 21-year-old received a graze wound and refused medical treatment.

Police say the suspects remain at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Detroit police at 313-596-1340 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
