FLAT ROCK (WWJ) - Ford is putting out the Help Wanted sign at its Flat Rock plant.

The automaker is hiring for a second shift this summer to build the Ford Fusion.

WWJ AutoBeat Reporter Jeff Gilbert said about 175 workers have been hired so far, and Ford management is now looking to hire about 225 more. Ford will transfer workers from other plants to make up the rest of the 1,400 that will be on the new second shift at the plant.
