Bomb Scare At Clawson High School

CLAWSON (WWJ) - About 500 students at Clawson High School were spending some time in the courtyard Monday while a bomb-sniffing dog searched the building.

Superintendent Monique Beals said the school was evacuated after someone wrote a bomb threat on a girls' bathroom stall upstairs during the lunch hour.

Beals told WWJ Newsradio 950 that school administrators did not believe the threat was credible, but the students were taken outside as a precaution.

"We do have to take it seriously ... but it is a gorgeous day," she said.

No injuries were reported.
