A Year Later, Cipriano's Move On With Healing, Faith And Family

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - It's been a year now that police were called to a brutal murder scene at a Farmington Hills home. Robert Cipriano was beaten to death in his home -- and his wife and son severely injured in a baseball bat attack.

A few days later, Cipriano's son Tucker was charged with murder ... along with an accomplice.

WWJ's Marie Osborne went back in the neighborhood where the events unfolded.

Today the home looks like the picture of tranquility, with freshly potted pansies in front of the home. A  neighbor who did not want to be identified said the family moved back into the newly renovated house just a few weeks ago.

Robert Cipriano's brother Greg, said the entire family is now focused on his nephew Sal's recovery. He also thanks everyone for their love, support and prayers.

"My wife was very scared, we almost moved but we are just trying to hang in here and so forth, " said a neighbor who did not want to be identified. "I'm OK because they caught the guy but my wife was really ready to go."

He said that people in the neighborhood care deeply for the family.
